Tenchi Muyo & Ghost in the Shell

Ok, recently heard of another Anime. It's called Tenchi muyo, and has the makings of a really good show, I'll need to get watching, bt for now I think it looks quite good. Guess I'll see.

Also, Ghost in the Shell? I do watch it, got so far before giving it a rest. Can't stand the whole "Stand Aone" "Complex" thing. Drags things on too muhc. Good show though and I enjoy it.

Oh and yeah, Darker than Black DID get all emotions and stuff, still, begs the question as to why? Characters who are supposedly cold hearted killers and one of them seems to be different, I'm curious.

  1. Tenchi Muyo is great! I was brought up by Cartoon Network - every day it was double-episodes of Dragonball Z, Gundam Wing and Tenchi Muyo.

Tenchi is very weird though - there are three anime series (.. Muyo, .. Universe, and .. In Tokyo), and a bunch of manga series (Tenchi Muyo!, No Need For Tenchi!, etc), as well as movies... all of them are like the same story, only in an alternate universe.

These links explain it pretty well - http://www.animeforum.com/showthread.php?t=64478 and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tenchi_Universe - basically, the story resets each time and every character is slightly different - some recognise there has been a reset (lots of deja vu in Universe and In Tokyo), but, for example, Ryoko is an acient demon and space pirate imprisonned for thousands of years at the start of Muyo, in Universe she is an active space pirate being chased by Mihoshi, and in In Tokyo her and Washu are partners in crime, and in Pretty Sammy she is a schoolgirl!! It's insane, and very confusing.
